Building on our collaborations on acclaimed titles like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Dead Good was thrilled to once again join forces with visionary Creative Director Jonathan Jacques-Belletête for his bold new project.

Out of the Black

In its position as the go-to PR agency for NA/UK/EE territories, Dead Good was tapped by publisher NACON to provide expert consultancy and strategic PR support directly to the talented Hell is Us development team at Rogue Factor. With Hell is Us re-emerging after a long period of radio silence, Dead Good curated an exclusive group of top-tier media and creators for a series of behind-closed-doors, hands-on previews at gamescom 2024. This carefully orchestrated campaign culminated in a wave of buzz-worthy coverage from the likes of IGN, Eurogamer, GamesRadar and Fextralife, all timed to drop right after the game’s high-profile showcase during the September PlayStation State of Play.

The Road to NEXT Fest

The next phase of the campaign featured a two-tiered preview experience for media and content creators. North American attendees were invited to an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit at Rogue Factor’s Montréal studio, while UK participants joined a special showcase in Paris during NACON’s annual Bigben Week event. Attendees got exclusive, hands-on access to Hell is Us, complete with the chance to capture their own gameplay and dive deep interviews with the creative team behind the game. Major outlets like GameSpot, Game Informer, EDGE, Metro, and Future Games Show were joined by top-tier influencers including Ebontis, Marignetic, Raptor, MDee14, and Jonesy Spacecat. Coverage from both events dropped simultaneously - just ahead of the game’s first public demo at Steam NEXT Fest - supercharging buzz and boosting wishlists and pre-orders across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
