Case Study: Post-Launch Creative
Session: Skate Sim invites players to dive into the genuine 1990s skateboarding way of life, when each stretch of pavement and each stairway was a great location for your favorite stunt.
Following its release the previous year on other formats, Dead Good collaborated with publisher Nacon and developer creā-ture Studios to create a compelling video asset for the launch of Session: Skate Sim on Nintendo Switch. Dead Good put together a brief and pitched a video asset concept that went beyond being more than just another accolades launch trailer. We wanted to embrace the Montréal heritage of the development studio, as well as the game's authenticity to the subject matter. The nature of the video made it more compelling to skateboard and sports lifestyle media who were typically reluctant to cover video games content.
As part of its promotional campaign for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem animated movie, creā-ture Studios was approached by Nickelodeon to create a free content update featuring the titular heroes. To ensure maximum impact and to capitalise on the crossover appeal, Dead Good approached a non-gaming outlet - comicbook.com -to run the announcement as an exclusive.
Dead Good Results
Dead Good was able to help scope, secure, and host a killer launch event for Session: Skate Sim at Substance skatepark in Brooklyn NY, where pros and locals were invited to hang out, skate, and celebrate the full launch of our title.
